Oyo State Magistrates Court, sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, the state
capital, on Tuesday arraigned two men
, Saheed Adeyemi and Michael Edemba
after they confessed to their involvement in money rituals using human
heads.
DAILY POST recalls that the 33-year-old ritualist, Adeyemi and his 60 years old customer were arrested
by men of the Omi-Adio police division attached to the state Police
Command on February 1 with human head meant to be used for money
rituals.
According to the police prosecutor, Mr. Ken Brasana, Edemba confessed
that he wanted to engage in money ritual to ease his financial
difficulty.
“The herbalist, Adeyemi, walked into the ambush laid by the police
while he tried to remove the human head wrapped in a black polythene
bag, which was hidden beside a shop at Abidogun Junction, Omi- Adio.
“The duo is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and unlawful possession of human skull,” the prosecutor added.
The two suspects, however, pleaded guilty to the two-count charge preferred against them.
In his ruling, Magistrate R.A. Ebeloku-Mustapha admitted the accused
to bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two reliable sureties each.
Mustapha adjourned the case till March 13 for presentation of fact of the case by the police
